Channeling your inner Sue Sylvester
Anderson Cooper's been on a kick about women in business since The Shriver Report, which is nice to see. I actually thought the four women he brought together for this segment "Breaking into the Boys Club" boiled it down to some key points. In a nutshell, women need to focus on: acting with power and authority, not caring what others think, building support groups, taking more risks, and using humor to our advantage.
I think one of the panelists said it best, "Women have to believe that our being in the workplace makes the world a better place."
That's a great way to put it. However, I had to laugh when I started writing this post, because I couldn't stop thinking that they were describing one of my all-time favorite TV characters, Coach Sue Sylvester from Glee. So, the next time you feel the self-doubt sink in, just put on that tracksuit and channel your inner Sue Sylvester:
"Find your voice. Stomp that yard. All that crap."

I love Sue!!
